Quest for Independence Granted Deeming Status by the Ohio Department of MRDD
Columbus, OH (July 29, 2008) – Quest for Independence was recently granted deeming status through the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (ODMRDD). This status is awarded as a result of Quest for Independence meeting and/or exceeding the training requirements for its employees based on ODMRDD rules.
The deeming status was granted to Quest for Independence, an Ohio provider of adult day habilitation, vocational, and employment services for persons with developmental disabilities, as a result of its recent three-year CARF accreditation. During its survey of Quest for Independence’s six Ohio locations, CARF found that, “Staff members at all levels of the organization exhibit an awareness of each person’s individual needs and expectations.”
The deeming status is valid for the entire three-year period of the CARF accreditation – which was granted through June, 2011.
